Daily Mixed Metaphor: A small one

I was watching home movies and Brendan said a mixed metaphor that is out of this world, although this is a fully intentional one:

Fate is a cruel snake, with bitter herbs and spices.

So I was just thinking:

Hell hath no fury like freezing over.
